About Us

Lost In Drama is an entertainment site devoted to period dramas. We hope you’ll enjoy your visit and want to return as we hopefully develop from a newborn site to something bigger.

Our general rule for content is that the films or television shows that we cover must have settings generally no later than the 1950s. After all, the best period dramas have that sense of otherness, of living in a time that is less familiar to us. There are some exceptions though – it might just depend on rich costumes!

The site was set up by Jen Scouler, a journalism graduate with experience in writing about movies for sites such as Empire Magazine, The Fan Carpet and Horse & Hound. By day, she works as a magazine journalist but has started Lost In Drama as a true passion project, having loved period dramas and the novels that inspire them for many years. She frequently refers to Aunt Jane which confuses friends, although this is due to her preferring to adopt her favourite authors as distant family members. Admittedly, they were definitely supportive through adolescence and beyond.

If you’d like to see more of Jen’s writing, visit her portfolio site www.jenscouler.com.
